I'm living in a nightmare
A sleep-like trance of doom
Locked away inside my mind

Machine pumps artificial life
Controls the day I die

This existence is a nightmare
The horrors won't abate

This mind that won't awake

Dare to guess what lies beyond

Slab of meat on a bed
Blood still pumps life through my veins
Independent brain function is dead

Lucid dreaming
Unconscious but aware
What evil put me there
I can't escape it
Forever will I sleep
The end is drawing near
It's not death that I fear
It's what waits for me

This nightmare will be ended soon
Visitors at my bedside
Gathered all around me now
Here to say goodbye
The final act of mercy
Fills me up with dread
Pull the plug sustaining me
Enter the realm of the dead
